Neurotransmitters 6: Oxytocin

Dear Friend,

Oxytocin, also known as the “love hormone,” supports our ability to feel love. Feelings of love help us demonstrate empathy and compassion for ourselves and others, enabling us to develop positive relationships.

John Lennon wrote, “When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We must learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create.”

Empower yourself with self-love through the practice of self-care, a powerful tool for maintaining your well-being.

How do you navigate these five areas of self-care (physical, social, mental, spiritual, emotional)? What are your favorite ways to show yourself some love? What activities will you add to your self-care list this week?
