An Introduction to Conscious Connections

Dear Friend,

Last week we introduced our new focus, Conscious Connections. We developed this platform to help you enhance and refine your conscious awareness, and wanted to provide you with the why and the how.

Connecting Consciously involves mindfulness, active listening, and alignment with the present moment. It helps us see the world more fully, understand our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and align with our true selves.

Along with this new focus, we are building a platform of FREE materials for teachers and anyone seeking greater presence, awareness, and self-awareness. It includes conversations about daily experiences, rituals, patterns, and unconscious actions, along with breathing exercises, mindfulness, meditation, and mindful movement practices.

Conscious Classroom has identified five key points of the day to support conscious practices:

  • Good Morning Wake Up
  • Calm the Butterflies
  • Get Back in the Zone
  • Seventh Inning Stretch
  • Leave it at the Door

This connection encourages authenticity and fosters deeper relationships by observing and acknowledging thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences with intention.

Conscious Connections require energy and active participation, but with practice, they can become part of daily routines.

We now operate in five schools, supporting students with mindfulness and meditation projects, breathwork classes, yoga classes, and SEL Yoga for Health and PE. Students complete homework to engage in conversations and partner practices with their families, fostering leadership skills and self-guidance. Our 2025 pilot year aims to expand our support to districts, teachers, students, and communities. We offer free lesson plans and classroom demonstrations.
