You and Your Brain 2: Teacher Appreciation
Dear Friend,
We’re continuing Educator Appreciation Week and offering a free practice called Breath of Joy for educators and moms.
Happy Mother’s Day, and here’s to more joy for both moms and educators!
Breath of Joy does exactly what it claims—brings forth more joy and energy through three-part breathing.
Students and teachers walk into the classroom carrying more than their backpacks. According to the Crisis Prevention Institute, “They carry traumas, insecurities, pressures, and anxieties from their everyday lives.” This is why co-regulation with students and educators is important.
When educators practice self-discipline techniques that take care of their own moods, minds, and hearts, their students follow.
And what follows next is learning.
I wish you a delightful last lap of the school year with your 2024 students! Please forward this to an educator in your life.
